Agreement to terms

By installing, accessing, or using BonaFide, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What BonaFide does

BonaFide is software that supports pricing workflow visibility for supported stores. Depending on the selected plan and current product capabilities, BonaFide may provide:

• Price-history tracking and historical records
• Product and variant review workflows
• Status views, dashboards, reports, and exportable evidence
• Product-page trust badges and related display settings

Merchant responsibility

You remain solely responsible for:

• Your product pricing, promotions, and compare-at prices
• Your storefront content, badge usage, and any claims you show to shoppers
• Compliance decisions and compliance with applicable laws, including the EU Omnibus Directive where relevant
• How you interpret or act on dashboard views, reports, exports, and other workflow information
• Maintaining your store, user access, and account security

No guaranteed results

BonaFide does not guarantee:

• Legal compliance or regulator acceptance
• Sales increases, conversion increases, or other commercial outcomes
• That badges, dashboards, reports, or exports will be treated as official certification or legal determinations
• Uninterrupted, error-free, or continuously available service

No price editing by the app

BonaFide does not edit your product prices or compare-at prices. You control pricing and promotional settings in your storefront systems. Any badges, dashboards, reports, and exports are informational workflow tools and trust-display tools only.

Billing and plans

Where paid plans are offered, billing and subscriptions are handled through Shopify billing workflows. Plan availability, usage limits, features, pricing, renewals, and billing terms are subject to the plan you select and the applicable Shopify billing process.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract source code
• Interfere with the App's operation
• Use BonaFide to misrepresent discounts, create deceptive pricing, or imply official certification or regulator approval
• Resell or redistribute access to the App

Privacy and data

Our handling of data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using BonaFide, you acknowledge that we may process relevant store, product, pricing, support, and account data to operate the service.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BonaFide shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the App.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BonaFide and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

Termination

You may uninstall the app at any time. Uninstalling may stop future collection of store data needed for BonaFide workflows, subject to the retention terms described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, or where continued access would create operational, contractual, or legal risk.

Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles.
